Before Mobile Phones

As much as I love technology I miss the beautiful old devices that the people used to use. One of these things are old telephones. If I could I would love to have a few around my house, but unfortunately at present my collection only consists of one little gem, but boy is she beautiful!  My gorgeous gold phone (1 picture below) was one of my first big purchases on eBay when I was still a teenager. Some people might think it is a weird purchase for a teenager, but I can remember watching Sex & the City and I always admired Samantha’s old phone that she used to have in the show so I started to look into buying one. Finally I took the plunge, saved up enough of my wages and bought one. It is one of the things that I am so glad that I have bought. It doesn’t necessarily get the use that it deserves but I absolutely love looking at it every day. I am not too sure where I will put my telephone in our new house, but hopefully she might start to get the use she deserves. Enjoy xo

My New Crush

Peacock Chairs.... I am 100% in love with these gorgeous chairs! I am not sure what it is that I love so much about them... Maybe it's their retro glamour, their great shape or even their quirkiness, all I know is... I want one! I would either make it my office chair or place it proudly outside on the verandah of our new house.

I actually have a very funny store to tell about a great find of mine. We had our annual kerbside collection around our area and every year I always go for a drive as you never know what you might find. One of the things I managed to pick up was a peacock chair! It looks very tired and dirty, but with a good scrub and a fresh coat of white paint, it will look as good as new! The chair I picked up looks like picture number 6. I am very fond of the bigger and more traditional sizes (as shown in the last 2 pictures) so if anyone knows someone who is willing to part with their chair, I am keen buyer. Please check out these great pictures of some of my favourites xo

A Ladylike Study

I have come to the conclusion that one room in our house must have some form of girly charm as I am very feminine., but I am sure you have all figured that out by now. The room I have picked will be the study, I think I want to have a lot of white in this room, ie a white desk, bookcase, to display all my cute girly nic nacs and a beautiful plush chair. Our study will also double as a spare room with a king single bed & side table so there will not be a lot of room to work with. Here are some of my absolute favourite pictures.

The Weekend

Apologies for the lack of blogging, I was doing so well and then last week I was just all over the place with commitments. I hope you all had a terrific weekend, I spent mine in beautiful Sydney, Australia as a little birthday treat from Michael. We arrived very early Friday morning, checked into our gorgeous hotel (the Intercontinental) went shopping, went to an AFL game (I am a big supporter) and then had a lazy sunday before our flight home in the evening. Here are some of the photos from my weekend. Enjoy xo
